Seance
“An idea, like a ghost, must be spoken to a little before it will explain itself.”
— CHARLES DICKENS
In 1848 knocks that came from nowhere changed the world. The Fox Sisters had lived with the rapping for weeks now. After a certain point, their family stopped believing that it was merely rats in the walls of their small New York cottage. The youngest of the Fox family, Kate, asked the knocks to repeat the snaps from her fingers. It followed her instructions. From there, they developed a code to answer simple questions.
And nothing would ever be the same.
The Victorian Spiritualist movement is fascinating, not because of ghosts, but fears of the unknown. In dark, candlelit rooms, the mind can play tricks on itself. Did that move? Did you hear something? Is someone, or something, hiding in the corner of your eye, ready to pounce at a moment's notice? The Seance is an evening of ghost stories, manifestations, and terror. Half of the night is taken from Daniel's Haunted show, using haunted objects from across time. The second half is what you would find in a traditional Victorian Seance: contacting those beyond the veil.
This show is suited for six to twelve people, with no exceptions. This show is not for children or the faint of heart.
