CAROL OF GHOSTS: A Bizarre Timeline

Past. Present. Yet to Come.

He has a complicated relationship with time. The problem is temporal, being haunted by memories that refuse to die.

The second narrative special, A CAROL OF GHOSTS: A Bizarre Timeline, pays tribute to the time-honored tradition of horror stories in Yuletide. An old key, tarot cards, and antiques tell stories about a world of mystery hiding in plain sight.

You can watch the full special now available on Youtube.

— TELLER

Haunted

“Nature is a haunted house—but Art—is a house that tries to be haunted.”

— EMILY DICKINSON

Think of something you love more than anything else you own. Maybe it's a journal, or perhaps an old family wedding ring. The things we love have weight. But what happens when we're gone? When the things we love become separated from us? Do they cease being remarkable? Or do our memories keep them alive forever?

Haunted is a close-up magic show that tries to tackle these questions. It uses haunted objects to tell ghost stories new and old, spanned across the centuries. A lost, old key; three specific tarot cards; a spirit board, trying to reach out to tell you something. All of these things have something in common: Given enough attention, they will live forever.

Haunted is best suited for an audience of 12-28 people. Haunted is not for children under the age of thirteen. Parents are strongly advised against bringing children who may scare easily. Are you afraid of the past? Don't be. It's been looking for you since the beginning.

Seance

“An idea, like a ghost, must be spoken to a little before it will explain itself.”

— CHARLES DICKENS

In 1848 knocks that came from nowhere changed the world. The Fox Sisters had lived with the rapping for weeks now. After a certain point, their family stopped believing that it was merely rats in the walls of their small New York cottage. The youngest of the Fox family, Kate, asked the knocks to repeat the snaps from her fingers. It followed her instructions. From there, they developed a code to answer simple questions.

And nothing would ever be the same.

The Victorian Spiritualist movement is fascinating, not because of ghosts, but fears of the unknown. In dark, candlelit rooms, the mind can play tricks on itself. Did that move? Did you hear something? Is someone, or something, hiding in the corner of your eye, ready to pounce at a moment's notice? The Seance is an evening of ghost stories, manifestations, and terror. Half of the night is taken from Daniel's Haunted show, using haunted objects from across time. The second half is what you would find in a traditional Victorian Seance: contacting those beyond the veil.

This show is suited for six to twelve people, with no exceptions. This show is not for children or the faint of heart.
